01 What is Team Challenge?

Team Challenge is an annual event organised by MRASWA. It consists of activities and challenges designed to promote teamwork, communication, problem-solving and establish trust, respect and appreciation for all team members.   The first edition was held at the Gymkhana Ground, Vacoas in 2013 and ever since, the event has been gaining popularity among all MRA staff. 

02 Who can participate?

Participation is open to all MRA staff, family and friends and a participant can either join an existing team or build a new team. However, the number of teams may be limited. It is advisable for early team registration as this allows the team to have its say in the event organisation.  There is no cap on the number of participants in a team, however a minimum of 10 persons is required to enable competing in the different activities. Every year the nature of participation may change depending on the types of activities and venue. The links provided on the right hand side will give you a glimpse of the event.

03 Date, Time & Venue

Team Challenge 2018 will be held on Saturday 08 September starting at Bras d'Eau Nature Park where our team presentation will be carried out. Our Treasure Quest will start overthere and will end up at Bras d'Eau Public Beach. Lunch will be served at Azuri Resort where other team building activities and fungames will be organised.

04 Transport

For those who have no means of transport or those who wish to travel in pool are requested to inform the leader of your team or your contact person. You will be contacted as from 25 October to update you on the arrangement. Please note that transport cost is not included in the package. 

05 Joining a Team

The event is a team based event and if you have not yet joined a team you will be allocated one. It is advised that you book early to help teams organise for the event. The recommended size of a team is about 15 persons. The names and logos of the teams which have registered so far are displayed in the column to the right.

06 What to Wear & What to Bring?
- Trekking shoes
- Preferably long pants (there may be mosquitoes)
- Swimwear for those who will be representing their team in the raft race. A minimum of two persons per team will be required to enter water.
- For those who will be using the hotel's swimming pool facility are reminded to bring along their towel.
- A head cap is recommended
- Sun protection cream
- Water, fresh fruits and snacks for morning and afternoon breaks as these are not included in the package.
- You may wish to bring additional non-alcoholic drinks for lunch as only one glass of soft drink or juice will be provided free of charge.

07 Event Management
The event will be managed by a team of professionals from Climax Productions Ltd. They have long standing experience in the organisation of such activities. Check one of their videos on You Tube.

08 What about lunch?

For the Team Challenge 2018, we shall have lunch at Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa. The cost is included in the participation package. Service will be open buffet. With regards to drink, this is limited to one glass of soft drink or juice. Additional drinks can be purchased separately. Please note that alcoholic drinks are not allowed during the event. 09 Team Parade and Presentation

Each team shall wear  t-shirts of a specific colour and have a war-cry of not more than 90 seconds long on which they shall perform during the team presentation. Each team decides on the type of its presentation and are free to use team mascots if any. A prize is usually awarded to the best team based on their presentation performance.

10 Cost

The package excluding travel cost is as follows:

Persons over 11 years: Rs 1,650 pp

Children up to 11 years: Rs 650 pp

Infants 03 years or under: FREE
